Curbside Collection Guidelines

Help us serve you efficiently by following these simple steps:

Placement & Timing

  • Set containers out by 6:30 AM on your collection day.
  • Place bins close to the road without blocking sidewalks or driveways.
  • Leave at least 3 feet of space between containers and obstacles (cars, mailboxes, poles, trees).
  • Keep lids closed and handles facing your home.

Bagging & Weight Limits

  • Always bag household trash to prevent spills or litter.
  • Securely tie each bag before setting it out.
  • Maximum weight: 40 lbs per container or bag.
  • Avoid placing containers on snowbanks or icy surfaces.
  • Trash limit - Ten (13 gallon) kitchen bags per week
  • Recycling limit - Four (18 gallon) bins of loose material per week

Acceptable Materials

  • Trash: Standard household waste, non-recyclable items.
  • Recycling: paper, cardboard, plastics (#1, #2), glass, and aluminum cans.

Items We Cannot Collect

  • To ensure safety and proper disposal, please do not place the following items in your bins:
  • Hazardous waste (paint, oils, gasoline, pool chemicals)
  • Construction debris (wood, drywall, tiles, shingles)
  • Landscaping materials (rocks, soil, bricks, fencing)
  • Automotive parts or fluids (tires, batteries, motor oil)
  • Yard waste (leaves, branches, logs, stumps)
  • Medical waste (syringes, bandages, medications)

Safety Reminders
